Holy Week 2010 Services
.


The services of Holy Week – beginning with the Sunday of the Passion and concluding with the Great Vigil of Easter – are the most ancient of all Christian liturgical acts and form the foundation upon which is built the Christian faith.  For these services make it possible for all of us to be present to “saving acts of God in Christ, whereby we have been given life and immortality.”


 



Sunday of the Passion (Palm Sunday), March 28

  7:40 a.m.            Morning Prayer

  8:00 a.m.            Low Mass with the Blessing of the Palms

10:00 a.m.            High Mass, Blessing of Palms and Procession

 

Tuesday, March 30

  6:30 p.m.             Low Mass

 

Maundy Thursday, April 1

  7:00 p.m.             Solemn High Mass, Washing of Feet,
Procession of the Blessed Sacrament to the Altar of Repose, 
Stripping of the Altar


Overnight Vigil until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, with Lauds in the Upper Parish Hall at the Altar of Repose at 4:00 a.m. on Friday

 

Good Friday, April 2

12:00 noon              Liturgy of the Day

  2:00-3:00 p.m.      Confessions

  5:30 p.m.              Interactive Stations of the Cross for Children

  6:30 p.m.              Stations of the Cross

 

Holy Saturday, April 3

10:00 a.m.              The Altar Service

  8:00 p.m.              The Great Vigil of Easter

 

The Sunday of the Resurrection, April 4

  8:00 a.m.              Low Mass

10:00 a.m.              High Mass, Blessing of the Eggs, 
 Children's Egg Hunt after Mass
